Immediate Opening for Senior Engineer in BeckTV NY/NJ Office

BeckTV is seeking an experienced system integration engineer (SE) to join our New York metropolitan office located in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Expectations for this SE would be a minimum 15 years of experience in broadcast engineering and/or operations. This person should be a strong leader, excellent communicator, and have a good reputation within the industry. The SE should have the potential for contributing to our business development as a company.

The SE would be responsible for managing larger projects from beginning to end. Working as the single point of contact with clients, the SE would develop equipment lists, define project scope, and handle all aspects of a project from inception to client handoff. 

The Senior Engineer would be the BeckTV representative on each project and ultimately responsible for ensuring that each project is an example of the best-in-class practices and standards for systems integration that will define BeckTV’s industry reputation and create strong relationships with our clients.

• * Key participant in business development including RFP responses, bid interviews, and engineering sales calls with potential clients.
• * Manage all resources for a given project and ultimately responsible for all aspects of a project.
• * Oversee multiple projects at any time at different phases of their project timelines.
• * Work directly with clients to define a project’s functional and equipment requirements.
• * Create high level system conceptual drawings and documentation to help define a project’s scope of work.
• * Manage system detail design and be proficient in AutoCad and Microsoft Excel.
• * Serve as a BeckTV project manager with project team participants including architects, MEP engineers, client PMs, and general contractors.
• * Create project schedules in Gantt charts for project team.
• * Lead decision maker for all aspects of the integration implementation along a senior technician.
• * Commission and train clients in their projects.
• * Deliver all close-out documentation necessary for a given project at system handover.
